Ancient Rome
In Ancient Rome the government used many distractions to distract the masses (the people). The used Gladiator and animal fights. What they would do is that they would force people that were in prison to fight to their deaths. They were called Gladiators. Another type of distractions was chariot races. The point of this was to hope that people crashed and that would distract them. They also had one-hundred and fifty (150) days of celebrations. These celebrations would take place in the famous coliseum.
We today in the United States also have distractions like they did in Ancient Rome. Some of the things that distract us are the following: Television, Internet, Technology and many more things. These distractions are similar because they sometimes involve violence. For example NASCAR racing, wrestling matches, boxing matches and many more.
NO.I don’t think that we are different from Ancient Rome and its distractions. Why? Because we still like to watch violence on television. We also hope for the fighters and the racers to get hurt.

Peloponnesian War
The Peloponnessian war was a time period
when the Athens and Spartan fought.Sparta had
many more chances of winning than the Athens did.
Why? because Spartans started training their boys
since they were seven(7) years old.The only reason for
this is that The Spartans had an Oligarchy. An Oligarchy
is when a gov't controlled by a few people with control to
the military. The Athens only believed in art and education.
So after many yrs of fighting the Spartans won.
Why did Sparta win the war?
